From Stroke at Age 57

Danny Stephenson

Local musician and longtime Spring Festival emcee Danny Stephenson, 57, died this Friday afternoon from a massive stroke. Stephenson, husband of Judy Stephenson, had been a member of the Lehigh Acres Spring Festival for several years. He was known not only for his music, but for his emceeing many of the activities on the large outside stage during the Spring Festival. He performed music all throughout Southwest Florida.

Stephenson also was known by thousands of people who have attended the Lehigh Spring Festival during the years. He was the entertainment director and treasurer on the Festival board of directors.

After word of his death began to travel, several people went to his Facebook page and wrote condolences and memories of their friend. No word has yet been received about funeral arrangements. But according to family and friends a celebration of life will be planned at a later date possibly at Veterans Park.
