Impaired drivers are a very real danger to themselves and, of course, any motorist who is sharing the road at the same time. With this in mind, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is launching a multi-faceted campaign of education, awareness and enforcement to battle this threat to our community. We have elected to publicize the names of those charged by deputies with the offense of DUI during the previous seven-day period:

If you have a cellular phone, you can report impaired drivers while traveling in Lee County. Dial 9-1-1 if you want to be eligible for a $50 dollar reward* through the “Mobile Eyes” program.
Remember: Fasten your seat belts, drive safely and be courteous to other motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians to help us prevent traffic related fatalities, injuries and property damage.
* “Mobile Eyes” Against Drunk Driving is a joint partnership between the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Personal Injury Lawyers, P.A. A 9-1-1 caller reporting a drunk driver and acknowledging the “Mobile Eyes” program becomes eligible for a $50 dollar reward if the impaired driver is stopped by law enforcement and arrested for DUI.
