Identities of Lottery
Ticket Thieves Sought

On Monday, April 23, 2012 at 2:42 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported theft of lottery tickets at the Circle K Gas Station, 1181 Homestead Road N, Lehigh Acres.

The victim told deputies he was working as a clerk when two females entered the store. One went to the restroom and the other began looking at merchandise. The clerk attempted to assist the customer in the store and when they were unable to locate what she was looking for, he walked back to the counter. As he walked back, the customer he had been working with let out a shout. He then realized the female that had gone to the bathroom was now crouched behind the counter.

The female behind the counter claimed she had dropped something and stood up to leave. After she walked away, the clerk realized a section of lottery tickets had been taken. Before he was able to recover the stolen tickets, both females entered a black 4 door Hyundai and fled the scene.

The total value of the stolen lottery tickets was over $500.

The first suspect is described as being in her early 20’s, 5’5” tall, 130 lbs, brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a purple skirt with a purple and black striped shirt.

The second suspect is described as being in her early 20’s, 5’5” tall, 170 lbs, brown eyes and unknown colored hair as she was wearing a black shower head cap. She was wearing black sweat pants and a blue sweatshirt.

Detectives were able to recover photos of each of the suspects from surveillance video. The photos are attached to this press release.
