Please come to the 9:30 a.m. meeting of the Board of County Commissioners meeting on May 1 to once again promote county funding of 20/20. Board of County Commissioners meets it 2120 Main Street Fort Myers Florida.
We need to speak on behalf of buying property called Leeland Lake so we will never lose the ability to have a county, state and national park.
It could mean Lehigh Acres would receive State, National and International recognition for this site. Other communities are vying for the same 20/20 money and, to date, no money has ever been given to Lehigh Acres to preserve property or a part of history. This sinkhole could date beyond 10,000 BC with archeological artifacts that could be housed in a museum, and bring not only educational impact, but also economic impact, tourism and tax revenue dollars to Lehigh Acres.
Estero may bring 100 people to encourage the County to spend money in their area. Lehigh Acres needs to bring 200 people to speak up for our need for the 20/20 Conservancy dollars. It is up to each of us to request this site be purchased for our community and put into the 20/20 Conservation Plan this next year.
Yeah buddy lets buy it preserve it and let Lehigh make money on it. Lets dive it, I am a master diver and have cave training I would love to help with that. LETS DO SOMETHING THAT WILL PAY PFF FOR EVERYONE, LETS BUY LEELAND LAKE…
