Sergeant David Drum plans on raising money one step at a time, by walking and running the 390 miles from Fort Myers to the State Capitol Building in Tallahassee.
Last year 177 officers were killed in the line of duty, including 14 in Florida, the highest in the nation. This violence has left behind 265 children, some too young to have a memory of their fallen parent. Sergeant Drum plans to raise the money one step at a time, by walking and running the 390 miles from Fort Myers to the State Capitol Building in Tallahassee.
Sergeant Drum’s Walk for the Fallen journey departs from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office (14750 Six Mile Cypress Parkway) on April 25th at 7:00 a.m. and arrives at the State Capitol on May 4th.
