Haitian Flag Day
Scheduled at ELCHS

According to Lee County School District, East Lee County High School has the highest enrollment of high school Creole speaking students in Lee County. As a result the Scholars Club is attempting to make certain that the students are made aware of just what Haitian Flag Day is all about and why it is celebrated.

The Scholars Club is reaching out to the Haitian Community and the community as we need speakers, performers, vendors, and participants in order to make this successful.

This event is on Friday, May 18, 2012 and will begin at 2pm and continue until 7:30 pm on the Football Field and in that vicinity.

This program is open to the public to participate and to attend.

We are asking for members of the community to contact Carmin McClary at (239) 369-2932 X 1187 in order to place you on the program. Vendors are encouraged to register (only $35) to set up. Vendors can sell food, items; however you must bring your own table and provide your own electricity, if needed. The East Lee County Scholars Club and Marching Jag Band will supply all drinks, however, others can sell anything else.
