This Christmas, the Rotary Club of Lehigh Acres continues its tradition of giving back to the community by offering a free holiday meal.

On Wednesday, starting at 10 a.m., volunteers will serve a warm Christmas dinner at St. Raphael Catholic Church. The meal will feature traditional holiday favorites, including ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and a variety of sides — perfect for bringing some festive cheer to your day.
For over 18 years, the Rotary Club of Lehigh Acres has provided free meals to the community on Christmas Day, ensuring that everyone has a place to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal. Volunteers have already been busy preparing for the big day, cooking up hundreds of plates to serve.
“We get people from all ages, and seeing the joy on their faces when they receive their meal is truly rewarding,” said Fred Elliot, project chairperson for the Rotary Club. “We’ve never run out of food and we don’t plan to this Christmas.”
The Rotary Club’s commitment to service is evident in their hard work and dedication, especially during the busy holiday season. This year, they are prepared to serve a large number of people, just as they did during Thanksgiving when they provided over 500 meals.
Mike Buff, a volunteer with the Rotary Club, shared, “The preparation is work, but serving the meals to people who need them is very enlightening.”
The free holiday meal will be served until 1 p.m., and all are invited to join in. The Rotary Club encourages families to come together and enjoy the meal, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for all who attend.
For a holiday meal full of love and joy, head over to St. Raphael Catholic Church on Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. Volunteers will be serving food until 1 p.m., and say no one will go home hungry.
