Firefighters responded to an alarm at 3:55 am and discovered the building’s sprinkler system had extinguished a fire in the sanctuary. There is smoke damage throughout the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation; the state’s Bureau of Fire, Arson & Explosives Investigations is assisting.
The church staff is working to notify families that their daycare/school will be closed today.
