With 5 years’ worth of documents via Google drive about a candidate for County Commissioner, David Mulicka, who has been toxic dumping since 2019 and has yet to remediate the situation. Further, it has come to my attention that the attorney for the Lee County Commissioners is acting on his behalf to negotiate a settlement with the Department of Environmental Protection.

This candidate’s wife is State Representative Jenna Persons-Mulicka. His father-in-law is a School Board Member, Armor Persons. These are exactly the people that should be held to a higher standard; yet they are getting away with what is one of the most serious matters, polluting our land and water.

All of this information is provable. It is all on the Department of Environmental Protection Agency’s website, facility #106253, https://prodenv.dep.state.fl.us/DepNexus/public/electronic-documents/106253/facility!search
Dave Elias conducted an interview with Mr. Mulicka where Mr. Mulicka lied stating:
1. He never dumped toxic waste.
That is false. He dumped arsenic, benzynene A, lead-acid batteries, vehicular fluids, paints, solvents, propane tanks, and air conditioners, among other items.
2. What he dumped occurred during Hurricane Ian.
That is false. There are DEP documents dating back to 2019-the present day. Hurricane Ian occurred on September 30th, 2022.
3. He remediated the matter.
That is false. In a public records request, Renee Kwait of the DEP wrote that this case is still open, and remediation has yet to occur. The document that David Elias showed during his interview as proof that the matter was closed was a document from the Lee County Commissioners Pollution Prevention Supervisor. The Lee Co. Pollution Supervisor is not the DEP.
4. He had receipts from the DEP to show that the matter was closed.
That is false. As recently as a few days ago, the DEP wrote that the matter has not been closed.
