Local award winning artist, June De Vincent, is offering a variety of art classes at Veterans Park Recreation Center. A resident of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Ms. De Vincent has been the recipient of numerous awards over the past thirty five years including two entries into the prestigious “winners circle” of the Southwest Florida Art Council. Teaching has been a way of passing on a lifetime of learning and loving the world of fine art. Classes are now being offered at these new discounted rates, come discover the artist within you.

Oil Painting
This class is intended to introduce oil painting as a means of personal expression. The class is designed to expand knowledge utilizing various subjects including landscape, portrait and still-life. Students will focus on composition, color values, perspective, shading and form.
Wednesdays (Next session starts April 4, 2012)
10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Ages 14 & older
$40 for four, three hour classes per month

Watercolors/Charcoal
Water color has many facets. It is the most versatile of mediums and paint. The right brushes can create some interesting art. So much can be done with watercolor, for example, one can work with wet or not, do mono prints, collage and rice paper. In some instances, it can be worked with pastels. Water color is only limited by the imagination.
