Did you know Father’s Day is this coming Sunday, but 25 million children under the age of 18 years-old are living without their fathers across the U.S including right here in Florida?
The number of kids living without their father has increased by 25% since 1960. Fatherlessness has serious consequences for children, including a greater risk of major challenges in life, such as:
- Homes without fathers are 4 times more likely to live below the poverty line.
- Adolescents from fatherless homes are more likely to commit crimes.
- Children growing up without a father are two times as likely to commit suicide.
- Children from fatherless homes are two times more likely to drop out of high school, and even junior high school.
- Fatherless children are at a dramatically greater risk of drug and alcohol abuse.
- Fatherless families are 4 times more likely to live in poverty than married-couple families.
- 57.6% of African American children have absent fathers.
Millions of biological fathers are removed from the home due to the $100 Billion Dollar, and unconstitutional Family Law Court system operated by members of the American Bar Association and state affiliates. Often, what is described by many lawyers as a “Silver Bullet” is used in these courts to deny biological dads access to their own children. The Silver Bullet is a false allegation of abuse is utilized by attorneys on behalf of girlfriends/wives to gain temporary, and eventually full custody of children and the home.
Fathers, father’s rights and parental right’s groups have attempted to remove the corrupt system that unfairly destroys fathers and eventually adds to juvenile issues such as criminal activities, but without true success. In 2023 Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law a “shared custody” bill, but in reality, the Florida Bar Association and their judges often find excuses not to implement this law and continue using unconstitutional and harmful tactics to remove dads from homes.
