Did you know that the rate of suicide for men across Florida is rising and the corporate media largely ignores this fact?

No matter where you receive your news, it is likely you will not hear reports of suicide. The corporate media has largely chosen to ignore suicides and rates of suicide as it also hides and manipulates only what those with corporate monies wish you to read, see and hear. Our corporate media, whether local or national is financially and politically driven. Often stories of relevance to our everyday lives are ignored and we are only given news stories that drive corporate and political greed, but we here at the Gazette are here to report news that impacts you.
According to the CDC, latest suicide rates available were from 2022 and were higher than the previous four years. By far, the rate of suicides was by men were at, 80% compared to women at only 20%. Men’s suicide is obviously much higher than women. Rarely do we here from our local or national news sources regarding this important issue that has literally impacted tens of thousands of Floridian families over the years.
In the Fort Myers area, Nicole Gabe, a reporter for WINK News, recently provided a news story instructing women, the “how to” file a domestic violence restraining order against men. She however did not report on the thousands of men that have committed suicide because of false allegations of abuse made against them. In fact, Ms. Gabe made no mention of false allegations in her report, nor that 40% of all domestic violence is committed by women and there are only a few domestic violence shelters available anywhere across Florida for male victims, not even with attacks on men reported during the same broadcast day. The stories included two women who hired a hitman to murder their (ex)spouse.
Some years ago, the Florida Department of Children and Families took oversight for all domestic violence shelters. Case workers employed with DCF are very hesitant to aide men finding safety as the Violence Against Women Act, federal and state funding is rarely used for male victims as every Family Law Court function as a “only women are victims” surrogate and guardian, much like the corporate media. This also can be contributed to the Florida Bar Association which operates every court, including Family Law courts here in our state.
According to a 2019 Psychology Today article located through kraayeveld.com, there is a correlation between male suicide and our Family Law Courts. The article in part, read, “Citing Dr. Kposowa, a sociologist at the University of California-Riverside, Dr. Sullivan considered that we undervalue the strength of the paternal-child bonds and thus underestimate the traumatic effects of the [Family Law Court] typical custody arrangements that sever those bonds. We fail to appreciate the catastrophic financial impact of divorce on men, the anger and the resentment engendered by loses of both property and status.” Many Florida BAR members are aware of, even teach their female clients to use the “Silver Bullet” of false allegations to gain property and custody of children. A soon to be ex-spouse committing suicide is of no consequence to BAR members or the spouse willing to lie.
