Did you know that a Florida firefighter was recently arrested for molesting a 12-year-old?
A Marion County man faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under the age of 12.
Add Murrel Dempsey Liverman Jr., of Hawthorne to a growing list of men and women that have been arrested for involvement with sexual abuse of a child here in our state.
Last Friday, Liverman was arrested by Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputies. Liverman is a firefighter and paramedic with Marion County Fire Rescue.
Deputies acted upon an anonymous tip given to the Florida State tipline that Murrel Dempsey Liverman Jr. had sexually abused a child.
Liverman was arrested and placed into the Putman County jail on a $250,000 bond.
There remains an ongoing investigation.
