Did you know that three of Florida’s airports are ranked near the bottom of the “best” list?
The Wall Street Journal recently released their 2023 airport rankings where they measured reliability, value, and convenience of America’s 50 busiest airports.
Among the large airports category, the Orlando airport placed near the bottom out of 20, at number 17. Fort Lauderdale at number 16, and Miami International Airport at number 14.
The ranking for each of the 50 airports was facilitated through use of government data, a survey by Dynata, and other sources looking at thirty different factors that can impact a trip, such as purchasing an airline ticket to arriving at the destination. The Wall Street Journal then averaged the overall score based on two factors, reliability and value and convince.
Interestingly in February of this year, Travel Lens, an online travel publication, listed Southwest Florida International (RSW) in Fort Myers as the best and number 1 ranked airport in the U.S.
