Authorities are searching for the man who left a Lehigh Acres store without paying and then hit a store employee with his car after he confronted him.

The crime happened March 23 at AutoZone Auto Parts on Lee Boulevard, according to the Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
When the employee went to confront the man in the parking lot, the man “accelerated and hit the employee, causing him to land on the hood of the car.” He then immediately sped off.
The man, who SWFL Crime Stoppers described as a Hispanic male, approximately 60 years old, possibly working as a mobile mechanic in the Lehigh area, was driving a blue Pontiac.
SWFL Crime Stoppers is asking anyone with information on the man to contact them at 1-800-780-TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
