Did you know that the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration released its annual National Drug Threat Assessment which shows multiple Mexican drug cartels operating in Florida?

Several years ago, federal prosecutors in Miami-Dade County charged the leader of a Mexican drug cartel along with five others for alleged importing over 500 kilograms of methamphetamine.
According to a 2020 report from the DEA, Mexican drug cartels have continued expanding their drug operations by partnering with American gangs including here in our state.
Here in Florida, the DEA map shows that three Mexican drug cartels operate most of the drug trafficking. Those three are the Cartel de Sinola/Sinola Cartel, Cartle Jalisco Nueva Generacion/Jalisco New Generation Cartel, and the Organizacion de Beltran-Leyva/Beltran -Leyva Organization.
Most of the drug cartel “employees’ are those Mexicans who entered the United States illegally. Others used by the cartels moving and distributing drugs such as Fentanyl, Cocaine, Marijuana and other drugs, are Mexican-Americans.
