Lee County Voters we have a problem…

Editorial

DO NOT USE the unproven ExpressVote machines.
Please share this, far and wide. Voters need to be educated NOW.

Is Lee County misleading voters to get them to embrace the ES&S “ExpressVote” touch screen voting machines, in addition to the ES&S ballot readers?

Tommy Doyle

Lee County Supervisor of Elections, Tommy Doyle lied a few months ago, at the East Lee County Republican Club, when I asked him whatever happened to his attempt to purchase these nefarious machines. He told me the plan was shelved. This was just prior to the primary election. FYI, these machines weren’t used in the primary. They just surfaced now. And, they are really dangerous.

They print out your ballot, for you to take and scan in the readers. Seems ok, right? Not.

They print a bunch of computer code at the top, which is what the scanner reads. Below that, they print your selections, in plain text, without the typical “bubbles” filled in. There is no way to determine if the secret code actually matches the printed text. These machines could be hacked (mind you, we are not yet sure that they ARE) to print one thing in code, and another in text.

Demand a paper ballot, and fill it in by hand. Fair elections deserve no less!!!!!!

Editorial Note: Some poll workers in Lehigh Acres have refused to give paper ballots when the voters asked for them. Tommy Doyle refuses to comment on this and issues that have come up at the voting locations.
