Four days after the fatal hit-and-run on Sunshine Blvd FHP continues to ask for help with new leads

Four days after the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash in Lehigh Acres, troopers have made progress in the case.

The Traffic Homicide Division continues to investigate the Saturday crash on Sunshine Boulevard.

They’re now searching for a silver 2004-2010 Toyota Sienna with damage to the front passenger side near the headlights.

Troopers continue to ask anyone with information regarding this crash to contact the Florida Highway Patrol or Crime Stoppers.

What happened Saturday?

A 40-year-old Lehigh Acres man died shortly before 7 a.m. when he was struck by a car that fled the scene.

A car was traveling south on Sunshine Boulevard, south of 47th Street West, in Lehigh Acres.

The man was riding his bicycle south on Sunshine Boulevard, along the west edge of the roadway.

The right front of car collided with bicycle.
