Did you know?

Did you know that a Naples church is hosting a LGBTQ drag show for 12-year-old children and using public schools as transit points?

Rev. Dr. Dawson B. Taylor, Senior Minister of the Naples United Church of Christ who was recently caught last month attempting to host a “gay prom” for children at his church, is also now hosting the drag show event. According to a flyer announcing the event, as “free”, and an “exploration of LGBTQ related issues facing today’s youth.”

When told of Taylor’s plans to transport students from Collier County schools to the event, a school spokesperson stated that “transit points for the pickup and drop-off of students for this event” may not be used.

The spokesperson went on to state that, ‘The District was never informed, nor contacted about this event, which is being held at a private facility. CCPS [Collier County Public Schools] also neither authorized nor approved the transportation of CCPS students to and from district sites by the event organizers. Any inference to the contrary is fully rejected by CCPS.”

Thus far, and despite Taylor being caught twice attempting to bring children to his events without knowledge of the Collier County school district as well, many Collier County parents, the Naples United Church of Christ will be holding their “Youth Pride Conference” scheduled for “LGBTQ youth” on May 21st.
