The 23-year-old was riding south along the grass dirt shoulder of Sunshine Boulevard, north of 46th street Southwest, approaching a canal. He crossed the canal edge, went airborne, and landed on the opposite side of the canal.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, he was not wearing a helmet.
The driver was taken to Lehigh Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
