35 years in prison for 2020 Lehigh Acres homicide

On May 17, 2020, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Lehigh Acres. Upon arrival, deputies located a male victim with several gunshot wounds and declared him deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed the investigation. Based on evidence located at the scene and from our Digital Forensics Unit, Benjamin Paige (DOB 10/2/1997) was developed as a suspect.

After multiple search warrants, interviews, and hours of analytical research, an arrest warrant was issued for Paige. Members of the U.S. Marshal’s Regional Fugitive Task Force located Paige and took him into custody.

On April 25th, Paige was sentenced to 35 years in prison for Second Degree Murder with a Firearm.
