Flights in and out of several Florida airports were delayed Saturday as severe weather battered much of the state’s northern half.

As of 4 p.m. ET, six Florida airports were reporting departure delays of up to two hours and 45 minutes, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Outgoing flights currently are being affected at these Florida airports:

  • Tampa International: Delays of 31-45 minutes and increasing.
  • Orlando International: Delays of 2.25-2.5 hours and increasing.
  • Southwest Florida International, Fort Myers: Delays of 31-45 minutes and increasing.
  • Palm Beach International: Delays of 2.5-2.75 hours and increasing.
  • Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International: Delays of 45-60 minutes and decreasing.
  • Miami International: Delays of 15-30 minutes and decreasing.

Ground stops also were implemented at the affected airports to limit the number of arriving flights. This means any flight destined for one of the six affected airports will be held at its originating airport until the ground stop is lifted.
