Students tearing up property with 4 wheelers

High-school students tearing up property with 4 wheelers.

1 name is Issac ==== Lee county sheriff’s office will not do anything about this, why?

Understanding Use of Public Lands

The landscape in Southwest Florida is both beautiful and fragile. It is Lehigh Acres Municipal Services Improvement District’s (LA-MSID) responsibility to preserve and protect its waterways and lands in Lehigh Acres and the western portion of Hendry County.

Lakes, rivers, canals, reservoirs and the lands that border these waterways play an important role in our water management system. They help to reduce flooding,        improve water quality and recharge aquifers and must be protected.

Unauthorized Areas: Use of ATV/Off-Road Vehicles, etc. on all canal right-of-ways, roadways, public lands unless otherwise stated, and unauthorized use on private lands is prohibited. Watercraft with combustible motors are prohibited in LA-MSID canals and lakes. Public lands are areas owned by federal/state agencies or any political subdivision of the state.

Violation of Florida Statutes will result in penalties. Penalties range from warnings and fines to confiscation of property, formal charges, and jail time. For more information, review the Florida  Statutes or contact your local Sheriff’s office.

Enforceable laws include but are not limited to:

ATV Statute……………………………….316.2074

Trespass on Property…………………………810.09

Littering/Illegal Dumping………………….403.413

Damaging Works of the District…………….298.66

Damage to Public Lands…………………….375.14

Breaking or Injuring Fences …………………810.115

Posted Land, Removing Notices Unlawful……810.10

 ATVs

Where can I legally ride ATVs, etc.? On private property that you own or have permission to access or in designated parks. Consult www.myfwc.com for management areas that all ATV/Off-Road Vehicle use.

Why can’t I ride along canals, waterways, or wetlands?  These areas play an important role in keeping our local area free from flooding, helping improve water quality, and allowing LA-MSID to recharge aquifers. Any disruption to these areas could cause community-wide issues.

What am I allowed to do on the LA-MSID property? Unless otherwise posted: individuals my fish in canals and lakes, walk-in preserves, and boat in LA-MSID canals/lakes as long as the vessel used does not have a combustible motor.

I have always used ATVs, etc. on public land. Why is it an issue now? Riding has always been an illegal action that has been patrolled. There has been an increase in ATV, etc. activity which has led to the increased enforcement effort

Then when he came what can I do for u blowing his horn
When he got out of car ii explained this was Sent to sheriff marceno captain Mallard and instead of following up speeding away at over 50 plus miles per hour in residential area
People of Lehigh time to make sheriff marceno do his job
I will be reporting Deputy Holloway to internal affairs captain
So should you when these deputies refuse to do their sworn job

  2. I believe The Police have BIGGER FISH TO FRY!!! I don’t see anything wrong with these young boys riding ATVS! Don’t see nothing tore up. It is people like you that make this world torn up. I would rather see these young boys enjoying themselves and riding bikes, rather than breaking in homes, on drugs and vandalism. I ride ATVS myself. You just need to stay in your Shell!! I am a Lehigh resident as well and I hope these young boys have a lot of fun doing what they’re doing you sound miserable if you don’t like it get the fu** out of Florida! That’s what us southern folks do so get used to it!!

  4. Ughhh… those pictures you posted appears to be “Lee County Property” so, get your facts straight first! By, the way all those children look like minors. I hope you have permission to take pictures of them!? You call yourself a journalist, you are a joke! Go back north you fucking liberal!!

  5. I demand to know why you took pictures of these YOUNG BOYS WHO ARE (MINORS) you have failed to discuss this!! Just know that’s NOT YOUR PROPERTY AND I PRAY THE PARENTS OF THESE YOUNG BOYS BRING THE LAW TO YOUR HOME OVER PICTURES BEING TAKEN ON YOUR DEVICE OF SOME SORT! If I was the parents, you would be buried under the jail. Obviously, you have not read the LAWS about taken photos of Minors!!!! BIG NO NO!!!! HUGE!!!!! I hope they press charges. The boys can identify you!!!! I pray the Law handles you.

    1. It is generally permissible for people to take photographs at any public place or any private place that they own or rent. Being present on someone else’s private property generally requires the property owner’s consent to take photos.

  6. Like I stated before, that is not his property. That is the side of a canal that belongs to Lee County! Get your facts straight before posting a hideous article. For the record- the world we live in today, you don’t take pictures of anyone without consent! Specially, MINORS!!!!! He or you could be a Pedophile! These are someone’s children. I’m very sure the parents would have his ass on a platter if they seen these pictures and such a pathetic article.

    1. The law states you can take pictures whenever you want the kids are on public property. And you don’t need consent on public property wake up!!! Pretty much I hope the parents do see them on public property driving their ATVs that the kids don’t own the parents own and the parents are responsible for the kids that means the parents could go to jail for what the kids are doing. And that is the law.

  7. With the world we are living in today, you don’t take no pictures of any individual, certainly not a MINOR CHILD!! You best learn about that law. It is against all rights. For the last time, that property is NOT YOURS OR WHOEVER IS COMPLAINING!!! It is Lee County Property. You cannot do a damn thing to anyone who rides down that path. That is Lee Counties job to do so. That little strip that divides your home and waterway is LEE COUNTY PROPERTY!!! Lol… I wish all riders Happy Riding. I don’t no property tore up either. If that was the case, where is the pictures for proof. Those boys look innocent and doing what boys should do. Thank God for that.
