Did you know that a Brandon man was killed last Friday while operating a street sweeper?
A 57-year-old driver of a street sweeper was making a U-turn back into a Publix parking lot when he hit an on-coming car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to investigators, the man operating the street sweeper was also not wearing a seatbelt at the time and when the vehicle hit the street sweeper, the worker was ejected and then run over by the sweeper.
The driver of the street sweeper suffered serious injuries and later died.
