Former Sheriff Rodney Shoap sent a letter last month to Gov. Ron DeSantis questioning Sheriff Carmine Marceno’s credentials. He pointed to a Fox 4 report that suggested Marceno may never have qualified to take the Florida State Police Officer’s Exam.
“I can find no evidence anywhere that the appointed Sheriff worked as a full-time police officer for 12 full months before moving to Florida and taking his exam,” Shoap tells Florida Politics.
Baloney, he’s an excellent Sheriff who has utilized integrity, application and enforcement in his county a complete success, people here love him!
Not on my watch! You people have nothing better to do than look for anything to smear a man’s reputation! Sheriff Marcelo has been the best sheriff we’ve ever had. He’s smart, his no nonsense policy is superior! Go find something worth while to do! Make a difference in our world! The Sheriff certainly has!
