Lee County School Board Candidate District 5 will drive a school bus route in East upon election to the school board

Randy Allen-Scott Candidate for school board District 5 has released a series of proposals to support transportation department to get back on track.

His proposals, among others, include that he will drive a school bus route in the east district once a week on Friday afternoons. Scott’s other proposals to support transportation are as follows:

1. Market value to wages will continue to use economic research institute data but the entered comparable values will include all CDL-B drivers and not limited to other Florida school districts only. This will bump drivers up to entry level of 18.00 an hour or more and tiered drivers based on years will increase proportionately.

2. Attendants to be on every bus in the district.

3. Referrals will be entered electronically into people soft program or similar electronic record keeping where the bus driver can access it to view results and actions.

4. Maintenance requests will be entered electronically into people soft program or similar electronic record where the bus driver can access it to view results and actions.

5. Drivers will be trained on process documentation in all aspects of their responsibility to ensure proper handling by other responsible departments.

6. After working out the details with the new superintendent I will drive a school bus route on Friday afternoons in the east district!
