Now through Dec. 1, members of the community can donate a new unwrapped toy for either a boy or girl, which will then be distributed to children in need this holiday season.

Toys can be dropped off inside the hospital at the front desk between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
“Anyone dropping off a toy can come in through the main entrance of the hospital and let the front desk person know they are dropping them off. We have two 5-foot boxes located in our waiting room. The toys collected will be given out to children here locally for Christmas,” said Jacklyn Arsenault, director of Business Development/Marketing at the hospital.
Katy Dierdorff, from Lehigh Regional Medical Center’s Environmental Services, brought the idea to hold the toy drive to the hospital’s CEO/CFO Administrator Cheryl McIntire who happily agreed.
“Katy’s son Clinton Thomas is a Marine, currently serving our country. She has previously supported Toys for Tots and wanted to host one here in our community,” Arsenualt said.
Dierdorff also felt the toy drive was a great way to build community morale.
Marine Toys for Tots mission is through the gift of a new toy, helping to bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to children in need. The toy drive also works to unite members of local communities in a common cause every year by collecting and distributing toys; and to contributing to improving communities.
