LCSO SWAT team swarmed a home to find stolen guns

LCSO deputies have arrested 16-year-old Terry Sykes, Henry Valdez Calderon, and Donald Pelham for breaking into a home and stealing nearly $20,000 worth of guns.

Deputies said they responded to a call of a home burglary on September 30. The victim said the 23 guns that were stolen were mounted on a bedroom wall. The victim also reported several expensive shoes stolen.

Sheriff Carmine Marceno said detectives quickly identified a suspect.

According to the arrest report, a detective got a hold of a photo of Sykes posing with a gun, matching the description of one stolen and also wearing shoes that matched the description from the victim.

Deputies then began observing activity at a home on 70th Street W, noticing multiple vehicles leaving to and from the home.

After pulling the drivers over, they found stolen guns inside the car and inside the home.

Sykes father, Terry Sykes Sr., said his son ran away from home two months ago and now he just wants answers.
