At least one person was injured when an SUV crashed into a canal in Lehigh Acres early Friday morning.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash to assist Lee County deputies.
SUV that crashed into a canal near Sunshine Boulevard North and Nancy Drive was sinking into the water and had bubbles coming up from under the vehicle.
A driver with kids in the suv was headed the wrong direction on Sunshine Boulevard before it ended up in the canal, troopers said. At least one person was injured in the crash.
Lehigh Acres Fire crews said there were minor injuries as a result of the crash and no one was taken to the hospital.
