Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has raised the reward for information leading to an arrest in the 2015 brutal murder of a Lehigh Acres grandfather.
Authorities have upped the original reward of $3,000 to $9,500 just over six years since the man was killed in his home.
Hemchand Bhagwandin was 68-years-old when he was murdered while babysitting his 4-month-old granddaughter on March 15, 2015, according to SWFL Crime Stoppers.
wo masked men broke into Bhagwandin’s home along 20th Street SW in Lehigh Acres, killed the 68-year-old and attacked his wife during the home invasion, officials said.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call SWFL Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous and be eligible for the reward money.
