Did you know that Charlie Crist is again running for Governor?
Crist, who has already served as Governor in the past, has decided that he wants to be governor again. His reason?
As he explains it, Crist doesn’t like the job that Ron DeSantis is doing at present.
Crist explained during an archived interview on NPR, “He’s (DeSantis) failed to lead during the greatest health and economic crisis of our lifetime. Local officials were forced to fend for themselves without direction from our state. Scientists and doctors offered advice, but he listened to quacks and conspiracy theorists.”
When Crist was elected as governor in 2006, he was elected as a Republican. This time however he is running as a Democrat. Crist, who joined the Democratic Party in 2012, is currently the U.S
Representative from Florida’s 13 th congressional district – a position he has held since 2017.
After 30 years of Crist making the rounds involving Florida politics, will he once again become our next governor? Only the people of Florida know the answer to that question.
