An Alligator was caught on camera crossing busy Lee Boulevard around 6 p.m. near 1st Street W in Lehigh Acres.
The Lehigh Acres Fire Department responded to the gator crossing and caught the reptile on camera stopping traffic as it crossed over Lee Boulevard.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) confirmed they received reports of the gator blocking traffic near the intersection.
A nuisance alligator trapper was sent to assist in getting the alligator off of the roadway, FWC said.
