Have you received your unemployment money this week?
According to Dane Eagle, head of DEO, DEO tried to stop any fraud going on by putting incarceration hold on some accounts but it backfired. The system put a hold on all clients that have ever been in jail or prison.
According to Eagle we only wanted the people that were not currently qualified for unemployment NOT everyone that ever been in jail or prison.
We are working to resolve the issue quickly …….. with the department of corrections
Update from DEO ….. The Department is aware of an issue affecting Reemployment Assistance claimants who may have previously been incarcerated and is actively working to resolve the issue so that eligible claimants are paid the benefits they are owed.
