Did you know that in the past several weeks, there have been a large number of statutes and monuments that have been torn down or defaced by members of Black Lives Matter, ANITIFA and other radical-left political groups?
In Washington D.C., Nancy Pelosi has ordered that both paintings and statues of Confederate Congressmen be removed. Also in Washington DC, the Mayor there has ordered a street leading to the White House, painted with the words, “Black Lives Matter.” Apparently, Pelosi and the black liberal Mayor of Washington DC, Muriel Bowser are working together to make Washington, D.C. the 51st State of the Union. Although historically it was never designed to hold a civilian population, over past decades, many Americans have moved to and live in Washington D.C. bringing the civilian population there to nearly 721,000 residents.
Washington, DC is populated with a high number of Democratic Party voters. So, last week when President Trump signed an Executive Order placing Washington DC National Guard units to protect national monuments from being destroyed by members of BLM, ANTIFA and other left-wing political groups, the push for Statehood was coordinated by both Democratic party members Pelosi and Mayor Bowser to bring power to the Mayor there so she would have the ability to either remove statues and monuments or allow mobs to destroy them. National monument statues are protected under The 1906 Antiquities Act yet our federal government has not sent armed troops in to protect their removal and desecration. This has emboldened the anarchists.
Undeterred, leftist groups have vowed to continue their destruction of historical monuments. A partial list of statues and monuments targeted for destruction are: The Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC, Mount Rushmore located in South Dakota, the Stone Mountain etching in Georgia, a Confederate Soldier grave marker located in Los Angeles, California and many statues as well as monuments located throughout the City of Baltimore, Maryland.
