Lehigh Man Charged with Two Capital Sexual Felonies

The sharing of information, between agencies, has made it significantly more difficult for those engaging in child pornography to hide behind computer monitors in dimly lit rooms.

An interagency effort between the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and a multinational technology corporation resulted in the discovery of the sexual exploitation and abuse of a young child in Lehigh Acres.

Illicit and disturbing photographs were uploaded depicting sexual acts performed on a child, under the age of 12, by John Breen, a Lehigh Acres resident.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives and Innocent Images Unit members worked quickly and authored and obtained a search warrant.

Based upon the results of the investigation, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office arrested John Michael Breen (DOB 10-22-1986) for the sexual assault of two children.

Breen has been charged with two counts of Sexual Assault on a victim under the age of 12, (Capital Felonies), Cruelty Toward a Child, a second degree felony and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior Victim Less than 12 YOA.

“LCSO deputies and detectives along with partner agencies worked relentlessly on this tragic case,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno.  “Anyone capable of abusing two young children in this way should never see the light of day again!”
