A Man shoots at Lee County Deputies inside Majestic Golf Club. LCSO orders neighbors to evacuate.
LCSO Deputies confirmed a man barricaded himself inside a home, refused to come out, and shot at deputies. A warrant was issued for Weston White’s arrest after he didn’t show up to court yesterday. White barricaded inside his house around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning but was taken into custody at 5 a.m.
Deputies, fire crews, and EMS have surrounded the Majestic Golf Club community after a shooting was reported inside the neighborhood.
We spoke with neighbors who tell us they heard several rounds of gunshots. They even tell us deputies are evacuating the neighborhood to keep people safe. Most neighbors have since been allowed back into their homes.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says they were serving a warrant at a home when the suspect resisted arrest and fired shots at deputies, who returned fire.
