During this event, you’ll learn: How State Representative Roach served as your voice in Tallahassee; and how he is honored to serve in improving the quality of life for all citizens. All residents of Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers and unincorporated portions of District 79 should attend. An opportunity for questions and answers (Q & A) on the scope of state government.
About the Speaker: Florida House of Representative Spencer Roach of District 79 is a retired Coast Guard JAG Officer who spent his first 10 years in service as an enlisted man, serving as a search and rescue coxswain and counter-narcotics officer before earning an officer’s commission. He attended both Edison Community College and Florida Gulf Coast University while serving on active duty, earning a degree in Political Science and graduating summa cum laude from FGCU. He is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Texas. He retired from the Coast Guard in 2016 and returned to Lee County, where he has been a resident since his assignment to Coast Guard Station Ft Myers Beach in 2000. Spencer has always had a passion for public service, and after retiring from the Coast Guard he served as the District Director for Congressman Francis Rooney, who represents most of Lee and Collier Counties. spencer.roach@myfloridahouse.org

ABOUT COFFEE HOUSE Coffee House Brewing Speaker Series which began in Fall 2015 is a weekly or bimonthly opportunity for “Koinonia.” Koinonia means fellowship; a fellowship of caring and sharing of common concerns. Coffee House brings people together to interact, learn, and build a healthy community. Coffee House invites a host of speakers to speak to audiences interested in a diversity of issues and topics. This open forum attracts many audiences to dialogue in an intimate non-threatening environment – with coffee, snacks, and refreshments. The Coffee House series is part of The HIVE Community Development Corporation, Inc. Community Engagement Program. Coffee House is sponsored by the Health and Healing Ministry of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and the HIVE Youth & Family Life Resource Center in collaboration with other community groups and agencies.
