Midwest Food Bank Florida is proactively working to help potential victims of Hurricane Dorian

Midwest Food Bank Florida is proactively working to help potential victims of Hurricane Dorian. 37 pallets of food and beverages have been distributed to partner agencies, including area shelters. In addition, volunteers will be assembling Disaster Relief boxes at the MFB Florida warehouse on Wednesday, September 4. Those interested in assisting should visit midwestfoodbank.org for more information and to sign up. The MFB Florida warehouse will closed on Tuesday, September 3.

As a first responder for The Salvation Army, Midwest Food Bank can have Disaster Relief family food boxes on the road within 24 hours of a call. Those who would like to help cover the cost of the supplies or the fuel needed to transport them may do so by visiting MidwestFoodBank.org, and clicking “Donate.” On the donation form, select “Disaster Relief” for the designation.

Midwest Food Bank has ten locations, eight in the United States, and one each in East Africa and Haiti. Its mission is to share the love of Christ, by alleviating hunger and malnutrition locally and throughout the world and providing disaster relief; all without discrimination.
