There is nothing like a budget crunch.
No money for overtime …. But there is money for shiny new badges and new uniforms and websites.
The Sheriff had the gold-colored badges for lieutenants and above redesigned at the cost of nearly $10,000 of taxpayer’s money.
And the Deputy Dog program new website designed by revise and Facebook page costing the taxpayers ???? because the Sheriff will not release those numbers.
And newly redesigned uniforms for the School Resource Officers at what cost???? will not release those numbers either.
Editorial note: We need deputies protecting the citizens of Lee County, not those this items.
Sheriff is corrupt so why expect anything more from his office?
