State Attorney Amira Fox, 20th Judicial Circuit, will be the featured speaker at the Aug. 5 Lehigh Acres Community Council meeting.
According to the State Attorney’s Office spokesperson Samantha Syoen, the goal of the informal meeting is to give the citizens of Lehigh Acres an office does for the community and ask questions in regards to important local issues concerning crime and legal legislation.
“Some of the topics she will cover during the August meeting include initiatives the State Attorney’s office does to keep citizens safe, and information on our homicide unit, economic crime unit, and humane trafficking unit,” Syoen said.
According to Council Vice-president Tyler Woodby, it offers a great way for the office to connect with the citizens of Lehigh Acres and what types of services it provides for the community.
“Those who attend will get a chance to learn more about her job description and what she has done for our community, county, and towns. Plus, what she hopes to bring to the table in the future,” Woodby said.
“Residents get a chance to voice their concerns about local laws that affect us at the state level and find out how they handle things such as repeat offenders,” Woodby added.

The Lehigh Acres Community Council’s next monthly meeting will be held on Monday, Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. in the meeting room at the LCSO East District substation, at 1301 Homestead Road N., Lehigh Acres.
