Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies confirm dozens of pets living in poor conditions in a Lehigh Acres home.

One by one, they are bringing these small dogs out of the home. The sheriff’s office said around 30 of these dogs and cats are inside.

The front door is open and there is a terrible stench. LCSO confirms one woman has been taken into custody on animal neglect charges. The animals will be put up for adoption.

Neighbors said they have seen animal services come out of this home before. One of them said he had no idea they were there but is not surprised about how many animals the woman had.

“It’s crazy,” Jason Cook said. “I mean, you wouldn’t even know it. If she keeps them inside, how you supposed to know. You hear dogs barking. It is what it is, you know, it’s a neighborhood, I have dogs.”
