| The proposal is a shared-use path on the west side of the road. This path will connect to the existing sidewalk leading to the Winn Dixie shopping plaza on Joel Boulevard. Path Users will also be able to reach Admiral Lehigh Park by existing sidewalk connections. Children waiting for the school bus will be able to wait on the sidewalk instead of in the grass. |
Gunnery Rd / 8th St Intersection Improvement
Lee DOT will signalize the intersection and make turn lane improvements
Homestead 4L / Sunrise – Alabama
Lee DOT will widen existing 2 lanes to 4 lanes from Sunrise Boulevard to Alabama Road.
Sunshine Blvd / 8th St SW Roundabout
The County Commission has directed Lee DOT to consider roundabouts at new intersections, any location where intersection improvements are proposed, or any intersection with safety issues. Lee County DOT conducts roundabout analysis even at intersections that meet new signal warrants.
Sidewalks
Sidewalks Bell Blvd SR 82 to Joel Blvd 2020-2021
Greenways and Blueways
Lee Parks will construct Greenways and Blueways for Able Canal in Lehigh.
If roundabouts are installed at least make them large enough so they will work. So far the existing one don’t work like intended
