Five of 8 people were transported to the hospital following a five-vehicle crash on Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.
It happened near the intersection of Douglas Avenue North.
A couple of Good Samaritans came to the aid of the couple that was ejected from an SUV. Two small children were also in that vehicle.
Multiple lanes of Lee Boulevard were shut down but have now reopened, according to the Florida Highway Patrol which is investigating the accident.
