Construction phase 1 of the project should begin in March or the widening of Homestead Road, from south of Sunrise Boulevard to north of Alabama Road.
This 30-month project includes curb and gutters, bike lanes and grassy areas in some part of the road.
The project price for the widening Homestead Rd is just under $15 million dollars.
