Eight Lehigh Fire Department first responders recently received The Phoenix Award, a prestigious honor granted for resuscitating a patient in full cardiac arrest.
In the simplest of terms, these eight individuals saved another’s life. The Phoenix Award, named after the mythical creature that rises anew out of ashes, honors those who successfully resuscitate a patient in cardiac arrest. Paramedics and other first responders often don’t know the final outcomes of their patients. The Phoenix Award Ceremony is an opportunity to see the fruits of their skilled lifesaving efforts.
For their exceptional actions, the LAFD congratulates:
Chief Rodolfo Naranjo, FF/P Richard Billian, FF/P Kyle Noonan, FF/P Joshua Golden, FF/P Bryne Gribbin, ENG Tony Overbee, FF/EMT Peter Nyholm and FF/EMT Devin Amoroso.
