Road Rage Puts Man in Jail

What Is Road Rage?

Road rage is defined as aggressive or violent behavior stemming from a driver’s uncontrolled anger at the actions of another motorist. Some examples include:

  • Hitting their vehicle with your car.
  • Running them off the road.
  • Pulling over, getting out, and engaging in a physical confrontation.
  • Inciting your passenger(s) to fight the other driver.
  • Using any sort of weapon to inflict harm on another driver or vehicle.

We’ve all had an instant where we lose our cool on the road, but one man took things a step further, threatening to kill another driver on Daniels Parkway and Gateway Blvd.

A report from Lee County deputies says Homero Gutierrez-Librado was trying to merge on Daniels Parkway and Gateway Boulevard.

He nearly sideswiped someone, grew angry, and then threatened them.

According to the report Guiterrez-Librado wasn’t just mad, he was furious — so much that he “exchanged words” with that driver and Guiterrez-Librado said “I will kill you.” to the other driver threaten her with a knife.

After that moment, the victim sped away and called 911.

The suspect was later found and arrested at a Shell gas station on Treeline Avenue.

Deputies searched his truck and found the knife.

Guiterrez-Librado, of Lehigh Acres was arrested for aggravated assault with a weapon without intent to kill and has since been released from the Lee County Jail.

The report states that Guiterrez-Librado that yes, he had the knife, but he denies even showing it to the other driver.
