Thursday night, Oct 13, 2016 at the Lehigh Acres Middle School (104 Arthur Ave.) the community is being invited to come, meet, and hear those candidates who are asking for your vote in Nov. A public forum with over 40 invitees running for State and local offices have been invited according to Rick Anglickis, President of the Lehigh Acres Community Council, one of the sponsors of the event.
Each candidate has been asked to bring a dessert or drinks for those in attendance. You will hear from those running for the State Senate and House of Representatives, along with Sheriff, Supervisor of Elections, and the Board of County Commission. Also attending and speaking will be those candidates seeking election to our local School District, Fire & Rescue District, Mosquito Control, and the Municipal Services District, formerly known as the East Lee County Water Control & Management District.
The event starts at 6:00 pm with the doors opening at 5:30 pm. This is the only community wide political forum to be held in Lehigh Acres this year according to Laurie Jerriey, President of the local Kiwanis Club also an event sponsor.
