Though the article was approved to be reprinted by Sean D. Hartman Executive Editor, The Lantern Newspaper on The Lehigh Acres Gazette and it was posted for less than 18 hours.
The Lehigh Acres Gazette has removed the article because it cannot verify any of the so called four separate anonymous sources the Lantern quotes in its story.
Journalistic integrity must out way fiction. Matt Miller, Publisher and Sean D. Hartman, Executive Editor of The Lantern Newspaper should be ashamed of themselves. Politics is one thing, but flat out fabrication of falsehoods is another.
Lehigh Acres Gazette ownership apologizes for not vetting the story correctly. And we apologize to the Mann family.
