East 10th Street has a speed limit 35 mph, but on any given day drivers speed down the road, passing those who choose to drive the legal limit. The Neighbors say that they are fed up, but the stop signs they want are only used to control traffic at intersections, not to deter speeding, according to federal guidelines.

I know exactly how those neighbors feel..I also live on E 10 St where the speed limit is 40mph..I have had the police come out on 2 occasions and they informed me they had given several tickets..that was it..never returned..several tickets to me means maybe there is a speeding problem on the street..I called DOT, they did come out and paint the white line down each side of 10th St. which had never been done & lowered the speed from limit from 45 to 40 & told me only the sheriffs dept. could stop the speeding..so they still travel down that road at over 60 mph..I guess someone in authority is waiting for someone to be injured or worse..this..also, is not just cars but also numerous dump trucks but also trailer trucks delivering to the Dollar Stores now located at this end of town..
