It’s Game Time at Lehigh Acres Middle School as it continues its journey to become the number one school in the East Zone. Last year Lehigh Acres Middle School set sail to become the #1 school in the East Zone and has made significant gains in reaching that goal.
“This will be a super exciting year for Lehigh Acres Middle School” said a very proud Principal, Neketa Watson, who begins her 3rd year as Principal at the school. This year Lehigh Acres Middle School officially starts the Avid School Demo process. Sixty teachers from the school attended the Avid Summer Institute in Tampa this summer and are equally excited to begin the process. AVID stands for “Advancement via Individual Determination”.
Under Watson’s guidance the highly recognized academic Cambridge Program has grown and continues to be one of LAMS’ main attractions. The 6th Grade Academy begins it 2nd year. This school within a school has truly set LAMS apart from other schools and has helped the school increase the number families selecting Lehigh Acres Middle school as their #1 choice. For the first time in school history there is a waiting list of parents who want their child to attend Lehigh Acres Middle School where academic excellence and rigor is the top priority for students.
